Instructions

Step 1
Use pattern and pencil to trace owl body onto contact paper. Cut out to create a stencil. Save both pieces.

Step 2
Place negative part of the stencil on shirt, blocking out the owl’s body.

Step 3
Squeeze out Tulip® Soft® paint onto palette and apply to child’s index finger with a craft sponge.

Step 4
Place child’s finger next to the owl’s eyes and gently press down (refer to photo). Remove and repeat for desired feathers. Repeat for each side. Let dry.

Step 5
Refer to photo for colour placement, apply Soft® paint to child’s fingertips to create owl’s feet and ears by painting child’s finger and applying paint around owl. Let dry.

Step 6
Remove stencil negative and replace with stencil. Fill in body and eyes with Soft® paint using a paintbrush. Let dry.

Step 7
Using a Q-tip, dip into Soft® paint and add dots around owl. While paint is wet, sprinkle glitter on top. Let dry. Shake off excess.

Step 8
Use Slick Black Tulip® dimensional paint to paint owl’s pupils as well as outline eyes and body feathers.

Tips

When applying Tulip® Soft® paint to fingers, use a generous amount and continue to dab with sponge until just before application. If paint dries before application, it will not result in a clean application.
