Materials

  • Lara's Crafts® Wooden Circles, 7.6 cm (3")
  • Recollections™ Scrapbook Paper - Design of Choice
  • Circle Cutter, 6.3 cm (2 1/2")
  • Craft Smart® Acrylic Paint - Black and Colours of Choice (5)
  • Plaid® Mod Podge®
  • Paintbrush

Instructions

Step 1
Paint in groups of five circles per colour. The example shown is five sets of circles painted five different colours.

Step 2
 Punch circles from scrapbook paper, one punch per wooden circle, and use Mod Podge® to attach to one side of each wooden circle. Let dry.

Step 3
 Paint five different designs within each colour group.

Step 4
Use the end of a paintbrush to add polka dots around the circles, as shown.

How to play: Hide wooden circle game pieces around the house. Give each child a colour to track. At the end of the game, each child should have found five wooden circle game pieces with their colour. Be creative and make up your own rules!

Tips

For an alternative, make a memory game from the wooden circles. Paint circles one colour and then paint camping icons on the other side. Be sure to paint two matching pieces per icon.
