Indoor Camping Directional Sign

By filling the clay pot with plaster of paris, you add weight to the sign, which keeps it from being easily knocked over.

Materials

  • Clay Pot, 15.2 cm (6")
  • ArtMinds™ Pine Craft Wood (2 pkgs.)
  • Dowel Rod, 91.4 cm (36")
  • Floral Foam
  • ArtMinds™ Plaster of Paris
  • Craft Smart® Paint Pen - White
  • Craft Smart® Acrylic Paints - Colours of Choice
  • Paintbrush
  • Disposable Bowl
  • Disposable Spoon
  • Water
  • Low Heat Glue Gun
  • Floral Moss

Instructions

Step 1
 Paint pot desired colour. Let dry.

Step 2
Paint dowel rod. Let dry.

Step 3
 Paint wooden plaques different colours. Let dry, and then use white paint marker to write desired directions onto the plaques.

Step 4
 Fill pot 2/3 full of floral foam.

Step 5
Follow directions on plaster and mix enough to fill remainder of pot.

Step 6
 Insert dowel into plaster while wet. Let dry.

Step 7
Glue the directional signs onto dowel as shown.

Step 8
Cover with moss.
