Valentine’s Day Sweet Puppets

Materials

  • Paper Bags, 2 pack
  • Foam Stickers – Lots of Hearts
  • Wiggle Eyes
  • Red Heart Yarn – White
  • Red Heart Yarn – Cherry Red
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Ruler

Instructions

For Girl Puppet

Step 1
Use markers to draw on arms as shown on bag.

Step 2
Remove backing from foam shapes and place on bag.

Step 3
With flap of bag closed, place large heart on bag. Have an adult use scissors to cut apart heart to create mouth.

Step 4
Glue wiggle eyes in place.

Step 5
Cut 12.7 cm (5") strips of yarn and glue to back top for hair.

For Boy Puppet

Step 1
Use markers to decorate bag as shown.

Step 2
Glue small foam hearts under flap of bag as teeth (leave the paper backing on hearts).

Step 3
Glue wiggle eyes to bag.

Step 4
Cut 9-15.2 cm (6") lengths of yarn for arms. Tie together at each end.

Step 5
Remove paper backing from 2 large hearts, sandwich on end of yarn between hearts for hands.

Step 6
Glue opposite end at sides of bag as shown.
