Materials

  • Celebrate It Medium Craft Bag with handle: Yellow
  • Construction Paper: Yellow, Black 23 cm x 30.4 cm (9" x 12" sheets)
  • Creatology® Wiggle Eyes (35mm)
  • Creatology® 6mm Chenille Stem: Black
  • Creatology® 2.5 cm (1") Pom-Poms: Black (2)
  • Sharpie® Permanent Marker: Black
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Glue Stick

Instructions

Step 1
Print the heart pattern.

Step 2
Use a pencil to trace the heart pattern onto yellow paper (with mouth) and black paper (without mouth). Cut out. Fold the black heart in half and cut in two for wings.

Step 3
Position the yellow heart on the bag and trace the mouth opening. Carefully cut the mouth out of the bag about 0.63 cm (¼") larger while making sure to only cut the top layer of the bag.

Step 4
Use the marker to create black stripes on the bag. Let dry.

Step 5
Twist the chenille stem around a pencil, cut in half and glue to the bag for antennae.

Step 6
Glue the yellow heart to the bag with mouths aligned and antennas covered.

Step 7
Glue the wings to the sides of the bag as shown.

Step 8
Glue the wiggle eyes to the bag and the pom-poms to the tops of the antennae. Let dry.
