Project Instructions

Step 1 Apply at least two coats of chalkboard paint to plaque. Allow plaque to completely dry between coats.

Step 2 Using a ruler and pencil draw a horizontal line ½" from the top of the plaque.

Step 3 Draw another horizontal line ½" below the first line you drew.

Step 4 Draw six arrows, using the first line from the top as the center point. Arrows should be about 1½" apart.

Step 5 Measure 2" from the bottom of the plaque and draw a horizontal line with your pencil.

Step 6 Using your paint pen, trace over the first two lines you drew in pencil.

Step 7 Draw over the last horizontal line, leaving about ¼" space at each end.

Step 8 Measure three inches in on the line you just finished and make a vertical line stopping about ¼" space from the bottom. Repeat once.

Step 9 Write the words DATE, SCENE, and TAKE over the three sections you just created.

Step 10 Color in the space between arrows 1 & 2, 3 & 4, and 5 & 6.

Step 11 Let paint dry completely.

Step 12 To condition the paint lightly, rub chalk over entire surface.

Step 13 Clean chalkboard finish with dry eraser or damp towel.
