Project Instructions

Step 1 Wash T-shirt without fabric softener and do not dry.

Step 2 Cover work surface with plastic table cover.

Step 3 Lay shirt flat on covered work surface.

Step 4 Starting at bottom of T-shirt, pleat upward in 1" sections until entire shirt is pleated.

Step 5 Tightly bind T-shirt with first zip tie just outside of neckline. Bind with another zip tie on opposite side of neckline.

Step 6 Mix Pink dye and Yellow dye according to package instructions.

Step 7 Position zip-tied T-shirt on covered work surface.

Step 8 Apply Yellow dye to center portion of shirt.

Step 9 Apply Pink dye to outside portions of shirt.

Step 10 Let set six to eight hours.

Step 11 Rinse shirt in cold water until water runs clear.

Step 12 Without removing zip ties, wash T-shirt in washing machine.

Step 13 Remove zip ties and dry in dryer.
