I'm interested in this mounting tape's spring quality, that is, its ability to return to its original thickness after being compressed. Specifically, I am building a Normally Open low-voltage switch that doesn't click. The design is 2 rigid brass 1/8" wide strips separated by single squares of this tape at each end. The bottom strip is indented in the center so that the tape only needs to be compressed to half of its original 1.9mm thickness. 

My question is How well will the tape retain its ability to return to its original thickness? Only the edges will be exposed to air.

I use this mounting tape for displaying watercolors in a floating format. Works great.

One of my favorite tapes to keep on hand as I find many uses for it.  I put it on the bottom of household items I don't want my 5 yr old grandson to touch or possibly break.  I have used it to hold rubber chair leg tips in place.  Think outside the box & you'll find many uses for this product.

This tape is amazing! I hung up my boyfriend's plaques and awards that are significantly heavy. It holds up so well,10/10 would recommend!

It’s pretty strong. I’m not sure how much weight it can hold but it’s held up posters and a plastic holder with necklaces on it up well.  It didn’t peel the paint off the walls when I removed some of it too.
