This silicone mold maker is excellent. I used it to make a silicone mold of a rubber ducky. Easy to use.

Even using a coupon this silicone is way more expensive per ounce than other (better) silicones on the market. However, I was desperate and couldn't wait for shipping if I ordered online. 

This silicone mold maker comes with very generic instructions. It says it's 1:1 ratio, but doesn't indicate if by weight or volume.  The next thing is that it doesn't tell you how long to mix it for and because they're both clear it's very difficult to tell if they're properly mixed. There's no instructions on their website or anywhere else for that matter. 


I actually tried it twice and mixed it by volume. I mixed for 5 minutes then transferred to a different container and mixed for an additional 2 minutes.  The first time I did a thin pour and a thick pour. The thicker pour cured within 6-7 hours while the thin pour remained tacky. The second time I tried it I poured another thin layer, but this time I let it cure for 21 hours without touching it. Still sticky. 

So if you're on a time restraint and you're doing a thick mold or a 3D mold then this will work. But in my opinion, it's not worth the price when there's better mold makers out there that cost less than Michael's coupon price.

This was really easy to use and worked perfectly for the project I used it for! I created a mold for resin, using a 3D print with this stuff. It released easily without the need of a releasing agent and all the resin I use with it, also releases easily.

This is amazing! I’m always looking for weird molds but never find anything I need. This mixes so well together and it’s easy to use.I’ve only had a chance to make one project but o love how the resin cured after demolding it from this.
