i am glad i had a 50% off for this one. i can see it breaking very soon. the latch to close barely works and the shelfs are not sturdy at all. id have been much better off to just buy a less expensive and much more sturfy tackle box. id return it but mu frand daughter ripped up the lable.

The size of this box is ideal. Enough to hold a lot of supplies but still portable. However after only a handful of twists to the locking mechanisms it doesn't latch how it is supposed to anymore.

Though they haven't failed, the handle and the latch on this box seem somewhat dubious. Once opened, while the tray compartments are quite numerous and generously sized, the plastic struts which support them seem very dubious as well, particularly when the trays they are supporting are loaded with glass, metal, and stone, so art supplies in other words. For the weight of this box once it's full, it seems possible that the latch or handle might break, so carrying it any way other than picking it up from the bottom makes me nervous. For a box that might be intended to carry metal cans of ink or tubes of paint and bottles of gesso, this container seems extremely rickety, especially for the price. A more durable container can likely be found at your local hardware store, though without the delicate color scheme and modern design elements. Personally, I wouldn't buy this again.

Is well made. I like that it self locks when yo close it so there are no accidental spills if you pick it up.

Gets the job done. I wish that the second layer of compartments were longer because it's hard to fit pencils in that section.

This is an attractive container for holding lightweight crafts such as embroidery floss or sewing notions, but it isn't able to handle a variety of art supplies.  If the contents get jumbled a bit, then the interior trays get stuck and the lid won't open. The round knob to lock the container also isn't very reliable and it isn't easy to tell if the loud is locked or not.
