I make very small boxes, and this is the perfect size for that. The saw is sharp and effective, and I love that the box has more angles than most miter boxes. It has the 60 degrees that I need for hexagons. The one complaint is that the pegs are too loose to stay in place. I tried wrapping some tape around them, but it turned out to be easier to just clamp the wood to the side of the box with a small clamp.

Unfortunately my product was defective and I had to request a refund. I have been wanting a miter box for a long time and was very excited to try it out when I got it. It was a lot smaller than I expected and would not accommodate anything bigger than 2 inches wide and 1 inch thick. But my biggest problem was that there were no teeth on the blade. I looked at the photos on the web site and the teeth were obvious, so I called the returns department. That process was quick and easy. They did not require that I send it back, but since it was unusable, I had disposed of it.

The product would work if you had something tiny enough to cut...I just didn't look at the product size closely enough.  I mean, I knew it was a small version of a miter box, and it was on clearance, but so itty-bitty!

The miter box is great for cutting through wood, cork and other small items. The blade is sharp and will give you a straight beautiful cut. Just be sure that your item can fit within the miter box or else you won’t get the straight cut you need.
