I'm terrible at cleaning out my brush jars regularly, but do get great usage out of these since they have the coil in them. I usually purchase a new one of these about once a year, because that's about the time that so much paint sediment has accumulated as to be non usable by that point. I've never had any actual issues with these jars though, the lids always screw on tightly and don't leak if I'm transporting them for plein air painting.

It’s a water pot with a smooth coil wrapped inside the jar.  When it’s full with water just above the coil you can rub your brush back and forth along the smooth surface and watch all the paint you want off your brush sink below the coil.  I paint minis for D&D and it’s a must have for me.

I’d been using a jar with a sink strainer upside down in it—this is a definite improvement.  The only downsides are 1) it’s not airtight and 2) there was this odd line around the inside of the jar just level with the coil as though some of the metal had rubbed off against it.  I tried wiping it off with alcohol but it mostly wouldn’t budge.  It hasn’t made any difference to the oil I put in it to rinse my brushes though.  Worth the money.
