Here's a fun apparel sewing project. Father/son slim fit lounge pants are great to wear hanging out at home or rooting for your favorite sports team. The pattern features an elastic waistband and side pockets. Make these pants in matching fabrics or pick your favorite sports team fabric to show your support. Size: S - L / XS - XL. Fabrics: Broadcloth, chambray, cotton types,  flannel gingham, seersucker. For Boys' size, if used as sleepwear, use fabrics and trims that meet the flammability standards set by the U.S. Government. Extra fabric needed to match plaids, stripes or one way design fabrics.

Notions: Thread. Boys' sizes: 1 yd. (0.9 m) of 1.25" ( 3.175 cm) wide elastic, three 0.62" (1.57 cm) buttons. Mens' sizes: 1.25 yd. (1.1 m) of 1.5" ( 3.81 cm) wide elastic, three 3/4" (0.75 cm) buttons. Look for Simplicity trims.
