Apparel Sewing Project. Loose-fitting top or dress has front tucks, back button loop closure and stitched hems. A, B: gathered short sleeves with elastic. C, D: sleeveless. A, D: purchased trim. D: appliques. Straight leg pants or shorts have elastic waist, side seam pockets and stitched hems. Size: 3-4-5-6-7-8.
Fabrics: Broadcloth, chambray, madras and gingham. Extra fabric needed to match plaids, stripes or one-way design fabrics.
Notions: Top A,C, Dress B,D: Three 1/2" (1.3 cm) buttons and 1/2" (1.3 cm) single fold bias tape. Also for A,B: 7/8 yd. (0.8 m) of 1/4" (6 mm) elastic. For A,D: Approximately 3/8" edging: 2.125 yd. (2 m) for A and 1.75 yd. (1.6 m) for D. Also for D: purchased appliques as desired. Shorts E, Pants F: 3/4 yd. (0.7 m) of 3/4" (2 cm) elastic.
