This needle is not awful, but it's not for me. The tip broke off after a few min of beading using brick stitch method and the spiral cord kept catching on the nylon thread. I am new to beading, so it could be users error but I will be switching needles.

Where have these been my whole crafting life? Really?!?! These are a game changer you can "pick up" any bead you want, string it, and the needle makes sure that the bead you choose doesn't slip back off the needle! This may have been a product for a long time but I am just now discovering it and all its benefits. Namely the extra bit at the end of the needle that pokes out preventing it from slipping back off of the needle. No, this is big! Picking up a bead and having it slip back into the pile of beads you had more then likely taken way too much time carefully selected amongst dozens of nearly identical beads is more dishearten then: the top scoop of your Ice-cream falling off of your ice-cream cone, merging into the suddenly slower lane of traffic, being only one number away from winning bingo and the next winning number called was yours but off by 1, or finding your tv remote after searching everywhere only to sit back down on the sofa and realize the batteries are dead. Anyways, This product I recommend and worth every penny .

I took off a star because one of the needles ends were bent & I was unable to fix. I tried the other one but had an issue with picking up the beads. It would get one or two, then when I tried to get more, it just wouldn't pick up anymore until I moved those two beads out of the way.
