I order these quite a bit and I always end up returning at least half, if not more. Most are scratched, misshapen, or marred up. I didn’t used to have this problem but the quality has definitely gone down. Some strands I get are nice but I’ve still never been able to use them all. Previously, I would order directly from China. I paid less for them and got to use about the same amount due to the same issues. I had hoped that ordering through Michaels I would get better quality (yes, I know they still come from China) even if I had to pay a bit a more because it’s worth it to me to pay a bit more to not have to weed through the duds from China. Interesting thing to note: I only have this issue when ordering online and having them shipped. The beads in store are always good quality. I buy them when I’m there but they never have very many.
