Step 1
Download your Rectangle Rainbow Loom® grid here.

Project Tip: Push bands down as you add layers.
Step 2
Turn the loom so that the red arrow is pointing towards you (the loom is turned the opposite direction as the template).
Step 3
Take the first Red Rainbow Loom® band and twist to a figure 8 and across peg B13 to peg B12.
Repeat, in order, from peg B12 to peg A12, peg A12 to peg A13 and peg A13 to peg B13.
The bands should have worked into a square.
Push all bands down
Note: The figure 8 is for this step only.
Step 4
Load the next layer of four bands straight across pegs in the pattern below:
Red band from peg B13 to peg B12
Red band from peg B12 to peg A12
Red band from peg A12 to peg A13
Red band from peg A13 to peg B13
Step 5
Load the third layer of four bands straight across pegs in the pattern below:
Red band from peg B13 to peg B12
Red band from peg B12 to peg A12
Red band from peg A12 to peg A13
Red band from peg A13 to peg B13
Step 6
Using Rainbow Loom® hook, grab the bottom band on peg B13 from the outside and lift it over the peg.
Set it just inside the square.
Step 7
Grab the bottom band on peg B12 from the outside and lift it over the peg.
Set it just inside the square.
Take the now bottom band on peg B12 and set it just inside the square also.
Step 8
Repeat Step 7 for pegs A12 and peg A13.
Step 9
Grab the now bottom band on peg B12 from the outside and lift it over the peg.
Set it just inside the square.
Step 10
Load another layer of four bands straight across pegs in the pattern below:
Red band from peg B13 to peg B12
Red band from peg B12 to peg A12
Red band from peg A12 to peg A13
Red band from peg A13 to peg B13
Step 11
Repeat Steps 6-10.

In the image shown the color pattern is:
Six rows of red
One row of white
Two rows of pink
One row of white
Six rows of red
Note: You can change colors as desired.
Step 12
To remove pencil favor from loom, finish all colors by working around the square by the same means used in Steps 6-9, until the last two layers are remaining on the pegs.
Step 13
Starting with peg A13, thread bands onto hook.
Work around until favor is removed from the loom and onto the hook.
Leave it on the hook.
Step 14
Take the pencil and slide it through, lead end first, favor.
Pencil may have to be maneuvered into favor.
Step 15
Once the pencil is through the other end (near the hook) roughly an inch, take the first two bands closest to hook and remove them from the hook and loop over pencil.
Repeat until all bands are on the pencil.

Step 6
Using Rainbow Loom® hook, grab the bottom band on peg B13 from the outside and lift it over the peg.
Set it just inside the square.
Step 7
Grab the bottom band on peg B12 from the outside and lift it over the peg.
Set it just inside the square.
Take the now bottom band on peg B12 and set it just inside the square also.
Step 8
Repeat Step 7 for pegs A12 and peg A13.
Step 9
Grab the now bottom band on peg B12 from the outside and lift it over the peg.
Set it just inside the square.
Step 10
Load another layer of four bands straight across pegs in the pattern below:
Red band from peg B13 to peg B12
Red band from peg B12 to peg A12
Red band from peg A12 to peg A13
Red band from peg A13 to peg B13
Step 11
Repeat Steps 6-10.
