Shortcut Chic Pumpkin and Leaf Adorned Cake

Bake a fancy cake with very little effort! The secret is to use a baking mold and a cake mix to create the tiny pumpkin and leaf shapes. It's so easy!

Material List

  • Cake Mix (or Favorite Cake Recipe)
  • Icing – White
  • Knife, Smooth (or Spatula)
  • Cake Pan, Round – Size of Choice
  • Baking Molds – Leaf and Pumpkin
  • Cake Stand
 

Project Instructions

Step 1 Bake cake as directed on package (or in recipe). Let cool.

Step 2 Bake pumpkins and leaves as directed on baking mold. Set aside to cool.

Step 3 Add round cake to cake stand.

Step 4 Frost cake as desired with smooth knife (or spatula).

Step 5 Push pumpkins and leaves mini cakes from Step 2 into icing around the round cake. Use image as a guide.

Tips

Two or three boxes (or batches) of cake mix are needed for this project, depending on cake size chosen. Read the label on the cake pan to determine. Be sure to leave enough batter for the pumpkin and leaf molds.
