Customer Reviews
Smithsonian® Glow in the Dark Giant Volcano Kit is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great buy My son loved this..it has several steps that you can divide over z2 or 3 days ..so it gets them even more excited to get to the volcanic overflow part.Iys a little messy putting it together and we added our own tape to keep it together. The tape that comes with it doesn't hold as well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, but not great. The strong base and plaster was easy to do for my 12 year old. The volcano itself looked good and dried fast enough. Not enough paint comes with the kit to cover the volcano. And the orange lava paint was too thick to run down the sides of the volcano in the picture. I would buy additional paint to complete the project.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Volcano Bought for my kids to mess with. They had a blast messing with the plaster and learned something in the process.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointing... I purchased this to do with my nephews over the weekend and I feel like it was a waste. The kit itself looks amazing and exciting but there are some major flaws with this. 1. Once you put the volcano together, you have to paint it. They provide paint and a sponge, but the amount of paint they give you BARELY covers 1/4 of the volcano. I checked the instructions and it said "use paint included, paint from home, and sponge to paint your volcano". Call me needy, but I think a kit should come with enough paint to actually cover the item. I didn't have paint on hand to cover the rest, so we had quite an ugly volcano. 2. The package makes it look like you're going to have an exciting volcanic eruption #thanks, marketing#, but in reality what you get is the worlds tiniest overflow of bubbles. My 3 nephews were so excited to see it erupt and when it happened, they were still waiting to see it. That's how tiny the "eruption" is. We ended up putting baking soda in a large cup off to the side and dumping some vinegar in to give them a big explosion. I would not recommend this product at all.
