Optional Finishing Touches to Lampshade
Ribbon Ruffle To create a ribbon ruffle on the top or bottom of lampshade, fold over ribbon and glue every 2" on underside of fold. Hold ruffles in place with finger/hands until glue cools. Apply ruffle to underside of lampshade edge with hot glue.
Pennant Edge To create a pennant edge, cut paper into symmetrical triangle pieces, as many as will fit the entire length of bottom circumference of lampshade. Glue them to the underside of the lampshade spaced evenly or on ribbon to use on bottom of lampshade and then glue ribbon to bottom edge of lampshade.
Pom Pom Edge Space out pom poms equally along ribbon that has been cut to fit around the bottom of lampshade. Attach pom poms, using embroidery thread and needle, sewing with a whip stitch.
