Project Instructions

Step 1 Select nine coordinating prints. Cut one strip from each one (and two from the last one) measuring 3"x12" long. This will make a total of ten strips.

Step 2 Lay your first strip lengthwise in front of you. Make a score line from top to bottom (each line will be 3" long) every ½" from the beginning to the end of the strip. Repeat for the remaining strips.

Step 3 Match up the prints you would like to use on each rosette. *Note you will need two to complete each one. Fold the first one accordion style, back and forth along the scored lines, until you reach the end. Fold the second piece opposite of the first (still accordion style, but starting down if you started up or vice versa). Repeat this until all your paper strips are folded.

Step 4 Once you have finished, punch ten circles from any of your remaining strips (these will not be visible when you are finished).

Step 5 Going back to your first two strips, glue one end of the first strip to one end of the second. Adhere the remaining two ends together to form a cone, with the print facing out. Once the glue is dry, put your cone on a flat surface (preferably a table or desk). Push the center of the cone towards the flat surface, allowing the outside to push out into a rosette. Continue gently pushing until the rosette is fully formed and everything is flat against your hard surface. Push the paper towards the middle to tighten the rosette, or let it pull out a little, to create your desired look. Holding onto your rosette, put a large amount of glue (approximately 1" circle) onto the back of one of your circles and then attach this to the middle of the front side of your rosette. Hold in place for 15 seconds and then flip it over to the back, still holding onto the rosette. Keeping one hand on the rosette, repeat the process by applying glue to the back of the next circle and attach it to the middle of the back side of the rosette.

Step 6 Repeat for all remaining strips until you have formed your five rosettes.

Step 7 Remove the tag page from the Sweet Blossom Stack™ and cut out five tags. Punch a hole in the top area and attach a different ribbon through each one, tying them off in a knot. Trim ends as desired. Rub one letter on each tag and attach one tag to the center of each rosette.

Step 8 Attach rosettes together by adhering them to a long piece of jute.

Step 9 Once dry, hang and enjoy!
