Tropical Clay Pot Critters

Step 1 Stack one 2" then four 1.9" clay pots, securing with E-6000® to create palm tree base: attach a 2" Styrofoam® ball at top of stacked clay pots. Paint clay pots Licorice, and Styrofoam® ball Lime Green. Let dry then add top coat of black glitter paint to tree base.
Step 2 Use craft knife to cut a several leaf shapes from green craft foam. Cut small slits in each leaf. Cut green chenille stems into 3-4" pieces then hot glue to back of leaves, leaving a small stem. Glue the leaf stems into the ball at the top until it is full.
Step 1 Trace the top rim of saucer onto the Styrofoam® block then cut circle with craft knife. Glue foam circle to inside of saucer with hot glue then paint Lipstick Red and let dry. Add three top coats of Red glitter paint. Let dry.
Step 2 Glue the 1.9" pot into the 1" pot at an angle using the E6000®. Repeat and allow glue to dry. Paint Lipstick Red, let dry then add three coats of red glitter paint. Let dry.
Step 3 Paint a small circle on two 2" Styrofoam® balls in Licorice, and let dry. Poke piece of red chenille stem through balls, then poke other end into crab body, positioning as eyes. Bend six red chenille stems into claws then hot glue into crab body.
Step 1 Base coat Styrofoam® eggs, one 1" Styrofoam® ball, two 1.9" clay pots, two 6" long dowels and one 2" clay pot with Baby Pink. Paint a 1.9" clay pot Wicker White. Cut a 2" Styrofoam® ball in half and paint one half Licorice.
Step 2 Shape the Licorice Styrofoam® piece into an end of beak then hot glue to the bottom of the Wicker White clay pot to make a beak. Glue the beak to the smaller end of the smaller egg. Take all twelve chenille stems and twist to make neck. Make a large hole in the larger end of each egg then insert the neck. Bend and shape neck. Hot glue the first bend of the neck to the large egg body. Glue the 2" Baby Pink clay pot to the back of the egg. Hot glue the 1" balls to the bottom of the Baby Pink 1.9" clay pots for feet. Hot glue the dowels into the feet and then into the body for legs. Stuff the inside of the feet clay pots with Styrofoam® pieces to make them sturdy.
Step 3 Tie a black ribbon bow around neck and secure with hot glue. Hot glue eyes to small egg.
