Instructions Print

Step 1
Cut eight pieces of paracord 12" long, and one piece 15" long.
Step 2
Gather the eight 12" pieces together so the ends are even and the 15" piece is pulled up 1½" longer than the rest.Wrap masking tape tightly around the end of the group.
Step 3
Fold over the 1½" length to make a loop at the end of the group of cords. Make sure the loop is large enough to thread a single length of paracord through. Add Krazy Glue® to the back side of the cord bundle on the masking tape and trim excess cord.
Step 4
Separate the cords into three groups of three cords each and braid, making sure to keep the braid flat as you go (the cords should remain side by side). When you have the desired length, repeat Step 3.
Step 5
Determine the final length you want the necklace to be. Subtract the length of the braided section. Cut two lengths and fold each in half.
Step 6
Thread one end of the cord through one of the loops at the end of the braid. Pull through, so you have two even pieces of cord. Tie a piece of white craft thread and continue to wrap around the tape. Secure the end of the thread with a drop of Instant Krazy Glue® on the back. Tie or glue on the green thread and repeat until the taped bundle is completely covered. Secure the end with glue. Continue this technique to wrap thread on the necklace using the image as a guide.
Step 7
To finish off, make sure the two ends of the cord are trimmed even. Add Instant Krazy Glue® into one of the open ends of the closure and insert the two cords. Hold in place until the glue is set. Repeat for the other side of the necklace.
