- Paper Mache Album, 6"x6"
- Paintbrushes – #12 Flat and #3 Round
- Jute
- Scissors
- Sandpaper, Medium Grit
- Paper Towels
- Palette Paper (or Paper Plate)
- Transfer Paper
- Tracing Paper
- Water Basin
- Pen (or Stylus)
- Sharpie® Permanent Marker, Ultra Fine – Black
Project Instructions
Cover
Step 1 Remove ribbon.
Step 2 Trace and transfer flag pattern onto scrapbook cover.
Step 3 Paint stripes Snow White, Primary Red, and True Blue where indicated.
Step 4 Use ultra fine-point marker to outline stripes.
Step 5 Lightly sand edges and random areas of flag. Wipe with paper towel to remove dust.
Step 6 Mix Milk Chocolate with Staining/Antiquing Medium following label instructions. Use slightly dampened paper towel or rag to rub mix over sanded areas of flag.
Step 7 When dry, mist lightly with Americana® matte spray.
Step 8 Reassemble scrapbook. Thread jute through holes and tie in bow.
Inside Pages
Step 1 Dry-brush stripes Primary Red and True Blue, alternating color order on facing page. Allow page to show through in spots.
Step 2 Mix Milk Chocolate with Staining/Antiquing Medium following label instructions. Use slightly dampened paper towel or rag to rub mix over background. Let dry.
Step 3 When dry, mist lightly with Americana® matte spray.
Step 4 Mount pictures to white mats and secure to pages.
Step 5 Embellish pages.
