- Americana® Paints – Lt. Buttermilk, Dark Chocolate, Bahama Blue and Whitewash
- DuraClear Varnish, Matte
- Square Wood Frame
- Flat Brush, ¾"
- Water Container
- Palette (or Plastic Plate)
- Paper Towels
- Pliers, Small
Project Instructions
Step 1 Paint frame Light Buttermilk.
Step 2 Use something hard to scratch indentations into wood for frame. (Small pair of pliers or even little dowel from back of frame works great.)
Step 3 Paint over Light Buttermilk with layer of Dark Chocolate.
Step 4 Mix one part Bahama Blue with one part Whitewash. Dry brush mixture over dry Dark Chocolate layer, wiping excess paint off brush before applying. (Leave some areas with Dark Chocolate showing through.)
Step 5 Dry brush Light Buttermilk over blue mixture in various areas of frame.
Step 6 When everything is dry, use sander to remove paint from edges and corners and sand lightly over entire frame. (It’s all right if you remove a little paint along way.)
Step 7 Seal frame with DuraClear matte varnish.
