I used to get in trouble in grade school for doodling and drawing horses in class, when I was supposed to be paying attention to the teacher. Art was always my favorite subject in school.

Everything… Photos, driving down the street, traveling, books, magazines, museums, people. Sometimes things people do and say will inspire me to do something creative. Inspiration is everywhere; you always have to be open to it.

Acrylic paint is very forgiving… just wait a few minutes for it to dry and paint over the goof. I do that a lot.

At the moment, I would have to say during the day, when I'm wide-awake and have gotten a good nights rest... I am fortunate to be surrounded by creative people where I work, so that makes it easy to try new things and think outside of the box.
How do you find the time to let your creativity loose?
Life is busy, so I have found that if I leave my easel and paint out it makes it much easier to work on a project. It also helps to turn on some good music, and turn off the TV.

Plenty of shelves and drawers to organize my supplies, a drawing table, a large format printer, a sewing machine, lots of windows for great lighting, and the list could go on and on.

Paint, paintbrushes, markers, canvas, and paper.
What's your favorite color?
There are so many to choose from- I love them all!!
What projects are you working on now?
I have been working on painting a family portrait that I would like to give my parents for Christmas. It's not your typical family portrait though; it's very big and bright. After that I will be starting a collage for my baby's room (he's due in October).
If you had a $100 Michaels gift card, what would you buy?
I would buy paint, and brushes. But, I would also stock up on scrapbooking paper. There are so many cool paper designs out there now, and there is so much more you can do with it than just scrapbooking. I'd like to start working on some collage using scrapbook papers.
