Finish this sentence: To me, creativity means….
As a crafter and fine artist I can tell you this has been the perfect place to work. I've really enjoyed my last two years here and look forward to many more. To me, creativity means evoking an emotion in others. I try to bring that simple emotive feeling to each viewer. I don't care which emotion it is as long as they have one. Everyone is different and views art in a different ways. One person might see joy in a piece while someone else sees something totally different. That is the beauty of art.

What type of projects do you do best?
I really love to paint and sculpt. I sculpt in lots of mediums: bronze, wood, wire, clay, paper mache are just a few. I paint with acrylics since I like to paint quickly for that immediate gratification.

What inspires you to create?
I love inspiring others to create as well. I really like creating outdoor sculptures with groups. A family picnic or camping with friends makes for a great group project. I usually bring a cordless drill, wire, woodscrews and anything else in my toolbox. Everyone adds their found objects and just has fun.

What would be in your dream craft room/work space?
My fantasy workspace is a detached building from my house with two work areas. One has very large power tools like belt sanders and welders. The other portion is my creative space to paint, sculpt and craft in. I love natural light and fresh air so I'm looking for something with many French doors.

What projects are you working on now?
I'm currently working on mixed media with wood and bronze. I'm cutting wood pieces into small shapes and putting them together again. The piece in the center has a bronze spade at the bottom. This wall piece is about 3 feet tall and represents an abstract shovel handle.
