Cedar Lodge Winter Antler Mount Lights

Project Instructions
Step 1 Paint the edges of the plaques with white acrylic paint.
Step 2 Spray adhesive to the top of one of the plaques and adhere the decorative scrapbook paper.
Step 3 Trim with the X-ACTO® knife blade to match the silhouette of the wood plaque.
Step 4 Draw a 5"x5" square on the back of the other plaque.
Step 5 Drill a hole through the plaque in the center of the drawn square (see photo).
Step 6 Put the skill saw through the drilled hole and cut out the 5"x6" drawn square.
Step 7 Use wood glue to glue the two wood plaques together back to back. Allow to dry.
Step 8 Cut the Styrofoam® ball in half.
Step 9 Trim to the shape of half of an animal head using a long X-ACTO® knife blade.
Step 10 Cut two long holes on either side of the Styrofoam® ball for the antler placement.
Step 11 Form the fabric over the Styrofoam® shape and hold the fabric in place with the U-pins.
Step 12 Place the covered foam ball onto the covered wood plaque side and mark the placement of the antlers.
Step 13 Drill a ½" hole through the plaque for each antler (see photos).
Step 14 Carefully feed the lighted branches through the back of the wood plaque and secure the ends with a nail into the side of the plaque (see photos).
Step 15 Fit the carved and fabric covered Styrofoam® shape around the lighted branches and hot glue in place.
Step 16 VELCRO® the battery box to the inside of the plaque hole.
