- Craft Pumpkin
- Yarn – Orange (MC) and Olive Green (CC) or Colors(s) of Choice
- Crochet Hook, Size J
- Elmer's® Glue
- Low Heat Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
- Pliable Wire, Heavy Gauge
- Foam Brush
- Wire Cutters
- Scissors
- Ruler (Optional)
Project Instructions
With MC, chain several 8' strands (enough to wrap and completely cover pumpkin). Set aside.
With CC, ch 11.
Row 1
Sc in second ch from hook and each ch across – 10 sc.
Rows 2-8
Ch 1 (counts as sc), turn, sc in each sc across.
Row 9
Ch 1, turn, dec over 2 sc. Sc in each sc across.
Rows 10-Desired
Dec rows until desired length of stem is reached.
ASSEMBLY
Step 1
Starting at the stem and working down the pumpkin, apply Elmer’s® glue. Wrap MC chains around until pumpkin is covered. Work in sections and let dry.
Step 2
Wrap heavy gauge wire around pumpkin stem and hot glue in place.
Step 3
Measure CC crocheted stem and cut wire to that length.
Step 4
Tread CC crocheted stem over wire and shape as desired.
