Not the best and not the worst
it is a good water color paint but they were very watery whenever i first opened them and chunky. i had to definitely mix it around a bit. they dried relatively quickly though and i cant wait to use them more to see their full potential.

Perfect for a novice
I picked these up at the perfect time because as usual they were having a huge sale. I gave them to a young person with some proper paper and the results were interesting, surprising and rewarding. We created art in an hour and proved that someone who doesn't paint can.

You get what you pay for.
This is a disappointing set. Opening the tubes is a messy business! You barely hold the tube, press the spiked part of the lid into the opening and it gushes out everywhere! What a mess. It’s like they have so much pressure that they explode.

Great! Love them!
For the price, these watercolors are great! They go down on paper nicely, are vibrant and mix and blend great! One of my tubes did end up bursting on the bottom of the tube, but I didn't mind it because I transferred the colors to a palette anyway. When put in a palette, they do crack when dried, but nothing a little honey or glycerin can't fix a bit. They re-wet nicely in my palette as well any mixed colors that I made. When fully dry, the texture is nice, no chalky or grainy look to them! For being a student grade watercolor I am pleasantly surprised and would definitely buy again, looking forward to buying the 24ct.

Tubes burst!
I used a few of the tubes once a few months ago, then stored them with all of my other supplies (in AC, in a drawer). Took them out today to use them, and 4 had expanded and leaked. I opened one of those and it blew all over my hands. I know they're not top quality, but this was ridiculous. Glad it didn't ruin a work in progress.

Paint was dried up at end of tube
Paint exploded when I opened them pouring out all over. They weren’t controllable.
