"good 'beginner',oil-paint"
So...I have recently got back into oil-painting/art-work after 30+yrs. I could find most of my supplies(brush's',canvas,turpentine,etc.),but could not find my paints'(probably too- old,anyway),so I bought a couple packs' of these,plus some 'Gamblin','oil-medium' and a large tube(200ml.) of "Winsor&Newton",'Winton',soft-mixing,white,to coat the canvas,as a primer/blender.The 'Winton' dries very-slowly(is mixed with 'Safflower' oil,instead of 'Linseed- oil',but the 'effect' was worth the drying time! As far as the 'Artist-Loft' oil paints' go,they blend well,have fairly good coverage and the colors' are not bad.They are great for practice(Which I needed 'badly'!)Ha! ; ) If you are going to get into art and Oil-Painting seriously,I would suggest getting the best oil-paints',brushes' and canvas that you can afford.For "archival" purposes' and "depth of color",these paints' will probably not suffice,but for 'beginner and practice-painting' they are fine!They block-in well and mix well and have a pretty decent floe to them! Hope this is of some help to you in making your choice of 'oil-paint 'and other 'art-products'! Cheers'! : )
