Cool Craft Item
I needed this for a school craft, and it was really effective! We needed to glue it, and it stuck on pretty well. However, it did irritate my skin a little. Not sure if that's normal with hay.

I've been surprised at how hard it is to find affordable straw in central connecticut. Needing small amounts of things often proves expensive and difficult though. I've been using these straw bales for a homemade outdoor feral cat shelter. It works fine to line between the two plastic storage crates and some goes in the smaller bin/crate for bedding. The cats love it and it provides warmth in our chilly winters. Hope the price of this stuff doesn't keep going up, it takes three bales to line and bed one small shelter. I restraw the shelter at least twice a year, checking for pee sprays and bugs through the year as well.

Just what I needed!
Bought to line feral cat/wildlife shelter that was critical to not have the tops with grains attached as they can get matted in fur and even imbedded into the skin. I was prepared to cut the tops off but this straw was perfect! It flaked nicely and was bound by wire so if using for decor it is the perfect small bale.

Decorative straw bale
Nice quality straw. After pulling some off the bale I spray glued it onto plain brown paper ( 2 layers ) to make the " floor" for my inside Nativity. It came out perfect!
