Great quality crayons and colors in this box!
The crayons color so smoothly, no other crayon brand is as good as crayola crayons. The other crayon brands are too waxy and do not color well, but these are smooth and fast and color evenly. They did arrive with 1 broken but Crayola replaced it immediately. Great customer service! I will continue to buy only crayola crayons!!

Those pearls are always gorgeous and fabulous as the Metallic FX crayons and the Metallic 24-count crayons are. I haven't used those in a very long time.

JUST WHAT I WAS HOPING FOR
I bought the Pearl Crayons because I am coloring new Christmas pictures and wanted to make them look different. I am so glad I bought these along with the glitter and florescent crayons. I have been able to create great ornaments and decorations with all three.

Subtle Colors, Beautiful Sheen
My box of Pearl Crayons unfortunately arrived spilled out of their box and with several breaks, which is a shame because they're a good product that gives a more professional result than the metallic finish crayons. Nice secondary colors, smooth color laydown.

Excellent Pearly Crayons
The new Pearl crayons are pretty great. They're a bit like the original pearlescent crayons from the late 90s, but a bit better. The first and biggest improvement is that these are the first 24 count specialty sets since Silver Swirls in the early 90s. Indeed, the colors have a nice quality to them, not unlike the Silver Swirls. It's hard to compare them to the original Pearlescents since there don't seem to be too many colors that were brought over. The only ones I can certainly tell are caribbean sea and black pearl, but it's possible there are more just renamed. Time will tell how some colors will hold up, key lime pearl from the original series had a habit of fading quickly and deeply, so hopefully these will still shimmer in a collection well into the future. These are definitely the most exciting colors of the set, and the color names are playful and appropriate. Indeed, the darkest colors are some of the nicest, hot cocoa and pesto look excellent and will work pretty seamlessly with your normal colors if you use them.
