Extremely disappointing
I bought this for my mother as a gift. Unfortunately, she was not able to use it. The lines on the canvas are very thin and very light, which makes both the numbers and the boundaries of the spaces very hard to see, especially for people who are farsighted. In addition, I bought this particular kit because I thought the included frame would eliminate the need to have the canvas stretched. As it turns out, you can't put the frame on before you paint it, and you can't have the canvas stretched even if you want to because there's no blank space around the design - it goes straight to the edge. So you can't put it on an easel to paint it.

Lines are very faint and hard to see, must use magnifying glass. Colours vibrant and easy to brush.

Almost a Starry Night
This kit is cleverly packaged and accurately shows the contents. When I was ready to begin painting, I checked all of the paints and found they had lost 70-80% of their moisture content. This was easily remedied with distilled water. Needing to prepare the paint was really a good thing though, as it afforded me an opportunity to become familiar with the colors and to achieve the desired consistency that I would need to proceed with my work.
I found the numbers to be little to light for my 75 year old eyes to see on the canvas, but the accompanying instruction sheet that mirrors the canvas helped a lot.
Once I restored the paints I found the colors to be very vibrant in every shade and made the "painting" come to life. I am very happy with this kit and my wife gave me permission to hang it in my bathroom.

I was skeptical about getting something like this since I cannot paint to save my life, lol but I’m glad I did!! I enjoyed every minute of it. Made me feel like an artist. I must admit at first I was nervous about it, didn’t look good at all but each day it slowly came together. I’m hooked now on paint by numbers

Paint By Number Can Be Fun but
It is a fun painting to do but the numbers are very small and hard to read at times! I wore glasses, had lights on and a magnifying glass! The paint also dried out and I had to buy a whole new set for the paints. I had called Customer Service and was told I could not buy the paint separately. I do think that should be an option!

Worth it!
It's really cute! I appreciate the quality at a low price. The kit comes with paints, paintbrushes, a canvas, and wood to hang it up. I've been able to paint with my boyfriend, and it's very therapeutic for me.
