Beginner
You're new to the skills necessary to complete this project, or maybe you've tried them just once or twice before.
Step 1 |
Project Notes:
First, find your favorite glue slime recipe. You’ll add color to each slime according to your recipe’s instructions. TIP: Elmer’s® has some great recipes; click here to download. |
Step 2 |
Green Jumbo Slime: To make this giant, green-colored slime, use three 4 fl. oz. bottles of white glue. To get the color shown, add Green gel food coloring to the glue, following your recipe’s instructions. TIP: Dip a craft stick into the food coloring jar, then mix the color into the glue, stirring thoroughly until it’s completely blended. |
Step 3 |
Neon Green Ooze: To make this bright green slime, use one bottle of clear glue. To get the color shown, add Green gel food coloring (from the Garden food coloring set) and a smaller quantity of Lemon Yellow food coloring (from the Primary food coloring set) to the glue, following your recipe’s instructions. |
Step 4 |
Green Gunk Slime: To make this glittery, dark green slime, use one half bottle of clear glue and one half bottle of green glitter glue. To get the color shown, add Moss Green gel food coloring (from the Pastel food coloring set) to the glue, following your recipe’s instructions. |
Step 5 |
Once you have made your Green Gunk Slime and you’re satisfied with its consistency, flatten it out on a piece of parchment, palette or wax paper and sprinkle on light green fine glitter and cello glitter. Fold the slime's edges in toward the center to blend the glitters into the slime. Continue until they are evenly distributed throughout the slime. |
Step 6 |
Be sure to store your slime in an airtight, sealable container or re-sealable plastic bag. Share your project photos with #MakeItWithMichaels |
