For $15, it was exactly what I needed.
I will definately need to put a coat of some paint on this easel, as it's made very cheaply. The full retail cost is $60, but with 70% off plus an extra 20% off I was able to buy it at $15. I used to have an adjustable desk for drawing at an angle, but needed space. Luckily, I can use this over any surface and get an instant easel for drawing or painting. I definately wouldn't spend more than $20 on it.. it also included a wooden T-square ruler which is a nice bonus!

Straight 90 isn't 90 but the easle is fine
Ya it's alright I mean witha coupon it's acceptable but at full price I would have returned it... The "Straight 90" it came with isn't 90...it drifts off

Garbage quality
Bought it as a gift. When we opened it, it was comically warped—not even close to flat enough to be useful as a drawing surface. Took it back, just wanting to exchange it for the same thing. Unfortunately, did not have receipt, store wouldn’t allow me an even exchange, so could only get a store credit for fraction of the cost. Beware, not only does Artist’s Loft represent poor quality, but Michaels does not stand by product.

We opened it up and the surface was all uneven
He cant draw or paint with a surface that isnt flat

Barely adequate
Hollow board light weight construction. I was hoping for something more solid and sturdier. T square is flimsy and probably useless and certainly unreliable on a sloping surface. Bought at sale price for table top painting. Not really sure that it will do the job.

Not Worth the Price Even at 60% Off
One of the primary reasons I want to buy a board like this is to do some moderate precise mock-up drawings and the major problem in doing that using this board is that it is not square. By that I mean its angles are not true. I placed my cutting mat on top of it and as it rested against the lower rail, running the T-Square along the left edge, it ran about 4 degrees off of 90. I checked the T-square and it seem close, but the board itself was not built (cut and assembled) with right angles in the corners. If you're only looking for something to place a mat on or to use to protect whatever it sits upon, then It will probably precise. It seems sturdy enough, but I need something with the ability to be more true.
