Perfect!!
I thought due to the light weight of this chasing hammer that it would not work harden my wire for wire wrapping. To my surprise it is perfect! It doesn't take but a few hammer hits to harden the thinnest wires. I am very happy with this hammer. I recommend this to anyone that wants to harden any wire they are working with. It may not look worth it but with jewelry making you do need something light. It is much better than a heavy hammer. It does not mar the wire. I love it! A great investment to my jewelry tool box.

Bead landing chasing hammer and steel block
Product seems fragile. Won’t endure thicker gauge metal

Chasing Hammer
Used once and the tip of the chasing hammer head chipped ON ALUMINUM. So very disappointing.

Light and Strong
Like the feel of the handle and even though it's light weight, it's very sturdy!

Chromed head
Hammer is well enough made, but the head is not polished, it's chrome plated. Because it's marketed as a "chasing hammer" I used it with my punch and die set only to find the chrome plating flaked right off. While it's certainly styled after a chasing hammer, it is not.
