Seems well made
The mandrel is not perfectly machined but the markings are clear and it is smooth and hefty. There is major disagreement between this mandrel and the ring sizers that Michael's also sells so you have to choose which to trust.

Good start but…
First the pros: the mandrill is solid metal and is very easy to read.
Not a con but an improvement to be made: could wish the markings and numbers were engraved instead of painted
And the con: it’s off by half a size. Had this checked at a jewelry store. My wedding band is an 8. The mandrill says it’s an 8.4. Technically it’s not even that as the ring sits about a millimeter above the 8.5 mark. That could make things difficult and really mess up items made using it if they get sized wrong.
