You're new to the skills necessary to complete this project, or maybe you've tried them just once or twice before.
Step 1
Project Notes:
  • All types of Elmer’s® glue work with this recipe; however, we used two 5 fl. oz. bottles of clear glue, one 4 fl. oz. bottle of white glue and one 6 fl. oz. bottle of blue glitter glue to make Ocean, as shown.
  • Protect your work surface with wax (or palette) paper and wear an apron (or other protective garment) to protect clothing, as the food coloring may stain.

First, find your favorite glue slime recipe. Add color to each slime according to your recipe’s instructions.

TIP: Elmer’s® has some great recipes; click here to download.
Step 2
This slime has four colored stripes: Clear Blue; Seafoam; blue glitter and crystal. To make Clear Blue slime, use one 5 fl. oz. bottle of clear glue. To get the color shown, add a small amount of Royal Blue food coloring according to your recipe’s instructions.

TIP: Dip a craft stick into the food coloring container, then mix the color into the glue, stirring thoroughly until it’s completely blended. Always use a new, clean craft stick when dipping into your food coloring in order to avoid cross-contamination.
Step 3
To make Sea Foam slime, use one 4 fl. oz. bottle of white glue. To get the color shown, add a very small quantity of Kelly Green food coloring and a tiny amount of Royal Blue food coloring according to your recipe’s instructions.
Step 4
To make Blue Glitter slime, use one 6 fl. oz. bottle of blue glitter glue and follow your recipe’s instructions to make slime.  There are no other mix-ins.
Step 5
To make Crystal slime, use one 5 fl. oz. bottle of clear glue and follow your recipe’s instructions to make slime without adding food coloring. Flatten out your slime on a piece of wax (or palette) paper and sprinkle on white iridescent glitter and cello glitter. Fold the slime’s edges in toward the center to blend the glitters into the slime. Continue until they are evenly distributed throughout the slime.
Step 6
Form each slime into a long strip and lay each strip next to the other on your non-stick surface. Now, fold and twist the slime strips together until you have blended them just the way you like.
Step 7
Be sure to store your slimes in an airtight, sealable container (or re-sealable plastic bag).
