boho jewelry dream catcher necklace

Catch everyone's eye with this dream catcher necklace.
Step 1
- Measure and cut one 90" length of cord. Fold the length in half.

- Using the folded end of the cord, attach it to a large binder clip by tying a lark’s head knot along the top of the hoop. Once the knot is tied, adjust the length of cording so that the right-hand side length is longer than the left, leaving about 12"-13" on the left. The longer length is the length you will wrap around the clip.
TIP: This step was written for a right-handed person. If you are left-handed, make the left-hand side length longer than the right.

- Begin tightly wrapping the longer length around the clip, working your way around until the entire clip is covered. Tie a knot with the two lengths to secure. Trim off the short length (the length you wrapped around the clip).

Step 2
- The remaining length of cord will make the six-pointed star of the dream catcher. The starting point at the top of the hoop will be the first point. From there, move your cord about 1" over to the right and thread the cord over the top and then under the clip. Then take your cord back around itself, forming a small knot against the clip, holding your cord in place.

- Move your cord another inch down and proceed to wrap the cord over and under and then around itself where the cord meets, forming a small knot to hold the cord in place. Repeat this step three more times for a total of six points or knots.

Step 3
- Create another six-pointed star, but instead of wrapping the cord around the clip, you will wrap around the cord star you just made. Starting from the same starting point along the top of the hoop, move your cord to the right and find the center on the cord between the first two set of knots. Thread the cord over the top of the cord and under, then back around itself, forming a small knot. Repeat this step five more times. Notice: as you are creating more star points or knots, the stars are getting smaller as you work your way toward the center of your dream catcher.
NOTE: As you are creating the knots, allow some slack in your cord so that the cord is not being pulled too tightly, which can distort the shape.

- Repeat this step to create the last six-point star shape.

Step 4
- With the remaining length of cord, string on a wooden bead to rest in the center of your dream catcher, nestled between the knots of the innermost star shape. Tie a knot to secure, and trim off excess cord.

- Measure and cut ten 6" lengths of cord.

- Pair two lengths together and fold the cords in half. Tie the cords onto the bottom of your dream catcher, using a lark’s head knot. Repeat this step four more times.

- Glue two feathers together (colors of your choice) at the quill using a dot of Aleene's® Fast Grab™ Tacky Glue.
.
Step 5
- Measure and cut a 5" length of cord. Tie the cord around the quill (where you placed the glue) and tie a double knot to secure.

- Tie the remaining cord length around the top of the dream catcher so that the feathers are tied to the back. Tie a double knot to secure. Trim excess cord.

- Measure and cut a 36" length of brown suede cord. Fold the cord length in half and tie the cord length onto the top of the dream catcher, using a lark’s head knot
