bonjour wood sign
It’s so simple to make a happy welcome sign for your home: just tape off a section of this wood plaque and start stenciling. You can create a friendly French greeting like ours, or make your own message. You’ve got a whole alphabet to work with, after all!
Step 1 |
Tape off the middle three horizontal slats on the wood board. |
Step 2 |
Paint this area with Beetle Black home décor paint. Let dry, and remove the tape. |
Step 3 |
Select the letters from the stencil pack to create a word (or saying). Cut out the first lowercase letter and trim the edges close, so that the letters can sit close together without overlapping. Repeat for each additional letter. |
Step 4 |
Use stencil tape to attach all of the letters together to spell the word (or saying). Make sure it fits on the board. TIP: If it doesn't fit, cut the sides of each letter even more and re-assemble until it does fit. |
Step 5 |
Tape the word (or saying) on top of the Beetle Black painted section of the board. |
Step 6 |
Dip foam pouncer in Wedding Cake home décor paint and dab across the letters, in an up and down "pouncing" motion, until each letter is covered. |
Step 7 |
Peel off the stencil and let the paint dry. Share your project photos with #MakeItWithMichaels |
