bright summer floral bouquet

Freshen up your summer style with this lovely, loose bouquet of bright flowers and greenery! We’ll show you how to decorate a pitcher, then fill it with all your favorite floral pieces: ranunculi, daisies, poppies and more. Take a look at our instructions, and let’s go!
Step 1
We have a pattern that’ll make this project easier! Click here to download the template sheet and print it out. Trim down the paper around the pattern so that there’s only an inch or two on each side of the design.
Step 2
Cut a piece of transfer paper that’s the same size as the pattern. Place the transfer paper underneath the pattern, with the graphite side facing down. Place both on the center front of the galvanized pitcher and use a pencil to trace the design onto its surface. When you’re done, remove the pattern and transfer paper.

TIP: Before you remove them, take a peek underneath and make sure all the lines of the design have transferred correctly.
Step 3
Use a brush to paint the design onto your pitcher. You can copy our design and colors or choose your personal favorite colors!
Step 4
With your knife, cut down a couple of floral foam bricks into smaller pieces and then use them to fill the pitcher.
Step 5
Now it’s time to have some fun with your floral pieces! Fill the pitcher with a loose arrangement of flowers, bushes and greenery, pressing each stem down into the floral foam to help keep it in place. If you’d like to make your arrangement look like ours, then follow these steps:
   -  Place the paper floral bush so that it extends as high as possible above the pitcher.
   -  Let the droopy floral bush hang lower, down the side of the pitcher.
   -  Place the bright assorted floral bush in the center of the arrangement, so that it fills the space between the tall bush and the droopy one.
   -  Bend some of the leaves from each bush down and around the top of the pitcher to help fill the space and create a transition between the different bushes. Ooh, lovely!
