Poorly Constructed
I purchased two of this item and both sets were basically the same. The ferrules on the larger brushes (sizes 6 to 12) were all loose. They came unattached from the handles with very minimal effort.

They do the job
I enjoyed working with these brushes. Variety of sizes is great. Finish stays intack when cleaning them.

THE WORST brushes I have ever used!!
The first brush I used, the handle wasn't even glued to the ferrule. I can glue that on, but I can't eliminate the terrible shedding problem. If the shedding keeps up, I'm guessing the bristles will be nearly gone by the time I've finished about a dozen very small paintings. If I understand Michael's return policy, and I think I do, it requires that the item you want to return be unopened and unused. I had absolutely no way of knowing how bad these brushes would be by looking at them in the package. This wasn't a huge purchase as far as cost, but the hassle factor is big because I have a hard time getting around. I purchase at Michael's a lot, and in all fairness I have to say that I have not contacted the store manager directly, which I intend to do if I can get back to the store.

Great for painting clouds
I used the biggest brush in this bunch to paint clouds with acrylic paint. I'm no expert but they came out great and my painting for great reviews.

For tube thick paints
They shed a little but you can pre pick them by rubbing mid grey or ochre paint on your canvases for future use, and pick off the bristles that shed. Good to go. Thick paint wants airy wild brushes. They are good budget brushes.

Just some brushes
The bristles on these round brushes were not what I expected. I ended up not using them and opted for some single brushes that were exactly what I was after. The packs of brushes normally aren't terrible, and they can get you set up to get started with painting, but these particular ones weren't my cup of tea
