This mixed media pad fell apart very quickly!
The back cover fell off immediately and then the front cover, making it hard to use.

absolutely love these!
so i have 2 of these: the 7x 10, and the 11 x 14. and i love them! the 7 x 10 is my favorite (i've already filled up two of them, and i've only been working with these for a couple of months now), but the 11 x 14 one is great two, it's wonderful to use for drawing/painting bigger things.

I advice buying it.
The paint doesn't let watercolor or acrylic paint bleed trough. It works if you just want to sketch and if you want to use ink on it.I love it.

THE SPINE IS TERRIBLE!
Ive been using these sketchbooks for years and i still cannot stand the spine. The covers fall off and the paper falls out. The spine is absolutely terrible. Otherwise I love this product. But the spine is enough to make me seek sketchbooks from someone else.

Great for Painting with Acrylics!
I bought this to practice painting... I also have canvases, but I prefer to save them for more serious paintings. I was a bit worried because people said the paper bleeds, but the paper worked perfectly for me! The paper definitely warped but I don't have a problem with that at all. I recommend this for those of you who want practice!

100% NOT Mixed Media
Not a single type of paint works on this paper! My watercolor bled through, so did my gouache, acrylic, and copics. Colored pencil leaves a mark on the next/previous page, pencil is practically the only thing this paper is good for.

Economical practice & hobby book.
I use these for acrylic painting, since I paint a lot for relaxation and so canvas for me is more of a once-in-a-while thing for serious paintings. So most of my painting is done on one of these.
Pros: Good size variety, affordable, and I've never had paint bleed through to the pages below. And I tend to apply several coats and multiple layers. It displays colors reliably and overall is functional in performance.
Cons: The grain is a bit rough so you'll get some of that loss of color when using acrylic as it sinks beneath. And due to the wetness when painting, the pages will often become wavy and bend. That much is expected when painting on paper, though.
Generally I like these pads since they allow me to paint often without spending a whole lot on buying canvases, and haven't bled through on me yet.
