caron® x pantone™ asymmetrical knit shawl

Don't you love the graphic bands of color in this asymmetrical knit shawl? You’ll knit these easy garter stitches with Caron® x Pantone™ yarn, an incredibly soft merino wool blend that’s been expertly color-matched to create stunning palettes (like this one). Check out the pattern below and make it!
Step 1

MEASUREMENTS: Approx. 29" [73.5 cm] deep x 62" [157.5 cm] long

GAUGE: 14 sts and 26 rows = 4" [10 cm] in garter stitch

Click here to download the template.

SPECIAL STITCHES:

  • Center Dec: Slip next 2 stitches together as if to K2tog. K1. Pass 2 slipped stitches over knit stitch. Center st will be on top and 2 sts have been decreased.
  • Kfb (Knit in Front and Back): Increase 1 Stitch by Knitting into Front and Back of Next Stitch

INSTRUCTIONS:

Notes:

  • Before working with Caron® x Pantone™ multi-shade yarn braid, separate each color link and wind into five separate balls.
  • Each color link will be referenced by its Pantone color # (see label).
  • Designate each yarn ball Contrast, A, B, C, D and E as noted in Abbreviations section (or as desired).
  • Due to finite amount of yarn in each shade, pattern gauge must be matched to ensure successful result.
