MEASUREMENTS:

- Normal Scarf: Approx. 8" x 74" , excluding fringe.
- Super Scarf: Approx. 12" x 84" , excluding fringe.

GAUGE: 16 sts and 20 rows = 4" in Linen St Pat with size U.S. 11 (8 mm) needles

INSTRUCTIONS:

Instructions are written for Normal size. If changes are necessary for Super size, the instructions will be written thus: ( ).

Note: For striping effect shown, work with 2 cakes throughout. Begin using each cake at different points in color transition to ensure contrasting colors. In most cases, this is achieved by working from the exterior of first cake and from interior of second. If necessary to ensure color contrast, remove a single color from exterior of one cake then set this yarn aside to be used as fringe. Alternate between these 2 cakes every 2 rows.

With pair of needles, cast on 30 (46) sts.

1st row: *K1. Sl1wyif. Rep from * across.

2nd row: *P1. Sl1wyib. Rep from * across.

Keeping continuing the striping effect (see note above), rep these 2 rows for Linen Stitch Pat until Scarf measures approx 74 (84)" from beg, ending on 2nd row. Cast off.

Fringe: Cut lengths of yarn 14 (20)" long. Taking 4 strands tog, fold in half and knot into fringe evenly across each end of Scarf. Trim fringe evenly.
