ASSEMBLY:

Step 1 Line a wide panel and a thin panel up evenly and pin together, back to back. Sc across one side edge to join. Fasten off.

Step 2 Repeat Step 1, joining all panels, and alternating wide and thin panels. Also, alternate colors.

Step 3 Repeat Step 1 with the first and last panels to make a tube.

Step 4 Thread a piece of yarn onto a yarn needle and make a running st around the tube’s edge at one end. Pull tight to close hole. Tie a tight knot. Pull all yarn ends inside the pumpkin.

Step 5 From the open side, stuff the pumpkin’s inside with Poly-fil®. Stuff the stem with Poly-fil®, too.

Step 6 Repeat Step 4 to sew the top of the pumpkin closed.

Step 7 Sew one end of each curlicue to the top of the pumpkin, arranging the curlicues so they fall to one side.

Step 8 Sew the stem to the top of your pumpkin.

Step 9 Sew your leaves to the stem so they layer over each other and the top of the curlicues.

Step 10 Tuck in all ends and fluff to shape your pumpkin just the way you like it.
