Great for most skill levels.
Sanding to get a clear coat is much easier then pouring a final thin coat.
This product is very easy to work with once you understand the measuring instructions.
It does have a chemical smell however is gone once the resin cures fully.

Deep molds set well, NEEDS CATALYST
You must use this outside. Or at least in a garage next to the door, with the garage door open. The fumes are nasty. You need the castin craft catalyst. I bought mine on amazon (1oz for 10 bucks. 1oz is a lot and will last you about 2 32 oz bottles.). Wait as long as possible before taking out of the mold, and it will come out clean and smooth. If you try to take it out too early it will stick to the sides and ruin the finish on it. I wait at least 24 hours if not more. The finish is slightly tacky, I seal it with a krylon clear coat. I put up with its flaws because it is fairly cheap with a coupon compared to other brands. Remember to USE IT OUTSIDE.

The Hardener is SUPPOSED to be sold with this!
On other websites and in other images you can see that the hardener is sold WITH this product, and invaded with it for the same price as this product is sold without the hardener. I’m shocked to find out that they not only don’t include these together, but they put the hardener elsewhere in the store. I thought when purchasing this product I was just naive to think (only after purchasing it and bringing it home) that someone had stolen the hardener off mine, and I was screwed for returning it without the obvious other part of it needed to actually work!

Needs a catalyst
I bought this for my daughter and after I gave it to her she told me she couldn't use it as is because it needs a catalyst when you purchase it it does not say anything about needing a catalyst for those who are novice.

No Catalyst
Nowhere does it mention needing a catalyst, which you definitely need or it will not harden. Very disappointed.

THE STORE DOESNT SELL THE CATALYST!!!
I love this brand, but Michael's doesnt sell the catalyst for it. They stock the shelves with literally half of the product and try to sell it.

NO CATALYST... NOT HEAT.. NO HARDEN!!
Clear polyester resin DOES NOT. Come with a catalyst to harden the resin.

Sticky
Almost every single resin art piece that I have made turns out sticky, no matter how long I have it dry.
