Chunky Luxe?™ Yarn by Loops & Threads® is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from this product was amazing I used it to make blankets for my new born nieces and nephews

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sheds like crazy! I made a blanket of light gray and navy blue. Light gray was okay but the blue sheds like crazy. It is all over the house and I am finding it on my clothes even after doing laundry!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from shed, Shed, SHEDS! Good golly Miss Molly this stuff sheds! The finished product was beautiful and my daughter loved it, but I am still finding yarn fuzz and I finished around Christmas. Also, while working on it it kept getting up my nose which was really annoying, and I had to spray my hands and clothes with static remover to get all the fuzz/lint picked up and then released into the wastebasket. The finished blanket also sheds a lot so I went online to find how to stop it or slow it down. I haven't heard yet if any of them worked. Beautiful yarn, but a big, giant pain in the butt to work with.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great yarn! I used this for my first try at knitting and it worked excellently! It easily pulls apart and shed which is to be expected, but -1 star. I would totally recommend this to beginners or anyone in general. Great product!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful for finger knit throw Used 12 skeins for a generous downy soft throw. Wish I had found the jumbo skeins so that I wouldn't have had to join the yarn so many times.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Loops and threads luxe is very fragile. I made a beautiful throw. It’s very heavy and pulls apart and gets snags if you aren’t very careful. It’s quite beautiful but very fragile.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Soft but horrible shedding! Bought this yarn to quickly handknit a blanket. While it feels amazing, the final product sheds and looks very fuzzy. Will not repurchase

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great....with a light touch! I decided to take the plunge and get this despite my reservations about the shedding. I love roving style yarns (lightly spun) for handmade doll hair, so I'm used to shedding (all roving yarns- no matter the material- shed). That said, this doesn't shed MORE than other roving yarns, but it sheds differently. The fibers are super silky (not "grippy" like wool), so the fibers will kind of get up your nose and tickle in a way that wool never will. But, I really wanted to arm knit with it, so I used two strands and made Anne Weil's arm knit pouf. I still need to stuff it and close the last end, but it knit up super quick (and I'm a beginning arm knitter) and looks gorgeous! Some things to keep in mind: Like with any roving yarn, you have to have a gentle touch! That doesn't mean you can't get tight stitches (or even use a strand of it as the drawstring to close your giant pouf), just that you have to always apply pressure in two directions on any one strand.... as in, don't just PULL it....squeeze and pull it. It's hard to explain, but you'll get a feet for it. Be gentle. The feel of the yarn and the finished knit project is just super super soft, silky and squishy. My toddler kept walking over my working yarn heap with her bare feet and saying "ooh- soft!". I decided to do the pouf instead of a blanket because of the shedding and I think that was a good call. I'm tempted to do a hand-crocheted rug with the rest of what I bought (would need a rug pad, of course). And, though my stitches were good and tight and the pattern called for 2 strands of a super jumbo #7, I only needed to do 2/3 of the number of rows called for (the pattern says the number of rows OR when you reach a certain size). I used 7.5 skeins, but probably could've done it with 6.5 - 7. I noticed at the end that mine was a lot wider than the pattern called for too, so I went longer to keep the proportions right. Hope that helps!
