About
Step into a tiny woodland world with this brand new beaded mushroom project from Nichole Vogelsinger for Michaels Stores. Nichole guides you through every stage as you fold felt, trace patterns, build structure, and add shimmering beadwork that lifts this mushroom right off the surface.
You will work with Czech seed beads, Miyuki Delica beads, bugle beads, Goodfelt, and your choice of threads while learning simple techniques that make the whole piece sturdy and full of charm. Nichole shows how to transfer patterns onto dark felt, how couching keeps bead rows steady, how to add those raised dotted arches, and how a little stuffing brings the mushroom to life.
By the time you reach the final chapter, you will have a dimensional beaded mushroom that sits proudly on a shelf or in a hoop display. It is a sweet project that invites slow stitching and playful imagination.
Please note that we share a direct link to one color option for most supplies. There are drop down menues sharing all the color options available for items like beads and threads.
The pattern and supply list is here. Our supply list is long. We are sharing as many colors options as we can for you to select from.
About our instructor:
Nichole’s creative journey began when, as a child, she would explore the local fabric shops with her mother. She developed a love for fiber arts and as an adult, hand embroidering printed fabrics became a favorite hobby. That hobby soon became an Instagram feed and then a book, Boho Embroidery (Lucky Spool, 2016) and then another book, Boho Embroidery: The Pattern Collection (Lucky Spool, 2018). She is the creator of the Boho Stitch Along, teacher of embroidery workshops and writer of her adventures in the world of stitchery at wildboho.com.
